Phillies fire Canadian manager Rob Thomson, name Don Mattingly interim skipper
The Philadelphia Phillies have fired manager Rob Thomson after a disappointing start to the season. Thomson, who led the team to the World Series in 2022, was let go following a stretch of 11 losses in 12 games. Don Mattingly has been named interim manager for the remainder of the season.
