YouTube to label AI videos automatically
YouTube has announced that it will automatically label AI-generated videos upon detection. The labels will be more prominently displayed for both Shorts and long-form videos. Creators can remove the automatic tag if they believe it is incorrect, but YouTube warns that disclosures will be permanent if it knows better.

The site announced today that such uploads would be labeled automatically upon detection. The label, first introduced 6 months ago, will also be more prominently displayed. We're moving the disclosure label for photorealistic and meaningfully AI altered or generated content to a more prominent position. For Shorts: The label will appear as an overlay on the video itself. For Long-form Videos: The label will now appear directly below the video player, above the description.
