YouTube just unlocked free picture-in-picture mode for everyone worldwide
YouTube has made its picture-in-picture (PiP) mode freely available to all users worldwide on Android and iOS, removing the previous requirement of a Premium subscription. The feature is now accessible for longform, non-music videos and can be enabled in the app's advanced settings. Once activated, users can minimize the app while the video continues playing in a floating window, allowing for multitasking.
