The family members of K. Jegadeesh, 24, from Saruguvalayapatti in Melur taluk in Madurai district who was declared brain dead by doctors, decided to give a new lease of life to four persons by donating the youth’s organs, on Thursday.Jegadeesh met with a road accident and was admitted to Meenakshi Mission Hospital for emergency treatment. He was shifted to Meenakshi Super Speciality Hospital for advanced care. Despite medical attention his health condition did not improve.After conducting the necessary tests and confirming brain stem death as per protocol, the medical team counselled the family regarding organ donation.
