Woman who plunged to her death in NYC manhole ID’d as Westchester grandmother, 56
A 56-year-old woman from Westchester County fell to her death after stepping into an uncovered manhole in Midtown Manhattan. Donika Gocaj was pronounced dead after being rushed to the hospital following the incident. The utility company Con Edison is investigating the circumstances surrounding the open manhole.
