A 35-year-old woman, V. Thangarani of Nallurpatti near here, was electrocuted on Sunday.Police said the woman, a mother of two children, tried to remove the clothes left on the clothes line for drying at around 6.30 p.m.She had not noticed that a tree that had got uprooted had snapped the power line to their house. The live wire had fallen over a tin-roofed shed. Since the clothes line was connected to the shed, electricity had passed through it and electrocuted her.The woman was rushed to Watrap Government Hospital, where she was declared brought dead. Nathampatti police are investigating.This is the third death due to electrocution in Virudhunagar district since Saturday.
