A 40-year-old woman has been arrested by the police on charges of abducting a nine-day-old baby from the RSRM Hospital on Sunday. A senior officer of the City police said D. Geetha, a resident of Mugalivakkam near Porur, had been admitted to RSRM Hospital on May 13 and delivered a girl baby on May 15. A woman was seen at the hospital in the guise of helping several pregnant women. She had also been helping Geetha for the past four days. On Sunday, when Geetha got discharged, she was looking to hail an auto. The woman also claimed she was going to Kodungaiyur and requested Geetha to drop her off on the way.
