Witness says D.C. shooting suspect "fell right at my feet"
An attendee at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, Air Force veteran Erin Thielman, said the shooting suspect, Cole Allen, fell to the ground right in front of her as he rushed toward the ballroom. She helped close the doors to protect those inside, including President Trump and Vice President JD Vance. Allen, who was armed with a shotgun, pistol, and knives, was arrested without being shot, according to officials. He faces charges including attempted assassination of the president and has not yet entered a plea.
