What’s going on with the web? Jun 14, 2026 — in Web Is it just me or has the general quality of all the web apps collectively gone down? YouTube: I see more issues with YouTube. Videos don’t load as well as they used to. I’m on a 1Gbps line and the videos keep buffering and sometimes straight up don’t load. Every time I open YT, I’m welcomed with this fucking page. Every. Single. Fucking. Time. You can tell I’m logged in from the subscriptions. It’s so weird. Instagram: If someone posts 5 stories, if I can consistently get through all 5 of their stories on the web, I’d consider it a win that day. GitHub: My favorite web app of all time, by a mile, GitHub, is now riddled with inconsistencies across the app. The Pull Request numbers don’t get updated.
