U.S. secures contract with Lockheed Martin to sell artillery rocket systems to Canada, other allies
The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded Lockheed Martin a contract to produce M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems for Canada and other allied nations to meet urgent military needs. The agreement includes the production of 17 systems, with completion expected by April 2028. Canada has expressed interest in acquiring 26 of the systems as part of its commitment to increase defence spending to meet NATO targets.
