The revenue authorities in Virudhunagar district swung into an operation and impounded two trucks, which were allegedly transporting M-sand and stones illegally from quarries here on Tuesday. Following complaints that miners were moving natural resources without following the guidelines, the revenue and mines officials formed special teams. In Tiruchuli block, the officials said that there were number of quarries operating in and around Puliyuraan, Melakanda Mangalam and among other locations.
