A 25-year-old labourer, hailing from Koppal district, is feared dead after getting trapped in an under-construction open well that caved in at Uddina Hitlu of Malpe in Udupi district on Friday.The Malpe police gave the name of the victim as Ramesh.The police said Ramesh was among the five labourers working to remove the mud from the eight-foot deep well since May 21. As Ramesh was working in a corner of the well, it caved in around 5 p.m., and he was trapped.The police and firefighters rushed to the spot.
