Toronto-area extortion bust arrests foreigners who came on temporary visas
Seventeen individuals have been arrested in the Greater Toronto Area for their involvement in violent extortion rings targeting the South Asian community. Many of the suspects entered Canada on temporary visas, and police have laid over 100 charges against them. Authorities are also considering deportation for those involved in these criminal activities.
