To My Editors and Publishers Lee Phillips My promise to you: Everything that I send to you is written by me and me alone. I do not use “AI,” LLMs, or any similar technology to write any part of what I put my name to. I never have, and I never will. The “first draft” that you see is usually the third or fourth draft, hand-crafted and repeatedly checked and polished. My manuscripts will never contain hallucinated facts, nonexistent citations, or made-up quotes. I won’t need to insult you with excuses about these defects, because I don’t use the technology that generates them. I do use a spell-checker. I’m not a good speler.
