In a drive against quackery, Tiruppur administration has directed all clinics, nursing homes and hospitals to obtain registration certificate from the Joint Director of Health Services.Cautioning the public against endangering their lives by seeking medical treatment from quacks, District Collector Manish Narnaware said the healthcare providers have to register their establishments with the Joint Director of Health Services, as mandated under the Tamil Nadu Clinical Establishments (Regulation) Act, 1997, and the Rules framed thereunder in 2007.People providing treatment in such establishments must have completed an approved medical course.
