Driver negligenceIt is highly disturbing to read from newspapers that some omni bus drivers from southern districts were under the influence of alcohol, during a routine check conducted by police officials on highways. As it exceeds the permissible level the drivers’ licenses were cancelled and the buses were allowed to continue the journey with new drivers. The speedy police action is an appreciable move and such measures must be continued in all places to save the lives of innocent passengers.W.D.
