This accessory can snap a Steam Controller to your phone — or almost anything else
Valve's Steam Controller is launching on May 1, 2026, for $99, and accessories company Mechanism is releasing the Basegrip the same day to attach the controller to phones and other surfaces. The Basegrip enables use of the Steam Controller with the Steam Link app for remote PC gaming, though compatibility issues remain on iOS and Android. Mechanism is also introducing a charging dock for the Steam Controller and offering free 3D-printable designs for its accessories.
