The Lakers are relocating, sort of. G-League team moving to Palm Springs
The Los Angeles Lakers are relocating their G-League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, from El Segundo to the Greater Palm Springs area, where the team will be renamed the Coachella Valley Lakers. The team will begin playing home games at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert starting with the 2026-27 season. The move marks a rebranding effort and strengthens the Lakers' presence in Southern California beyond their main NBA roster.
