Teen accused of killing Airbnb host and fleeing to Dubai hours after arriving in UK
A teenager, Enzo Bettamio, is accused of stabbing his 27-year-old Airbnb host, Kamonnan Thiamphanit, to death shortly after arriving in the UK in April 2024, then fleeing to Dubai within hours. Bettamio, who was 16 at the time, was extradited from the UAE and charged with murder upon return. He appeared in court via video link and has been remanded in custody. A plea hearing is scheduled for July 14, with a trial set to begin in February next year.
