Six people were found dead in Govindpur village near Chadchan of Vijayapura district on Friday.The names of the deceased were given as Chandu Nirale, Dundappa Nirale, Shivaputra Nirale, Rahul Nirale, Samarth Nirale and Shabbir Nadaf, all of Govindpur village.Preliminary investigation has revealed that members of the Golagi family shot dead five members of the Nirale family and one of their associates over a long-pending property dispute.“We have registered a murder case. Officers of the Chadchan Police Station reached the spot and are investigating,” Superintendent of Police Laxman Nimbargi said.
