In a major reshuffle, several lower level police officers of Karur have been transferred from the district and posted in north and south zones.According to sources, three Deputy Superintendents of Police, 10 Inspectors of Police, one Sub-Inspector and one Special Sub Inspector and four Head Constables have figured in the list of inter-zone transfers. V. Selvaraj, DSP, Karur town, G. Manivannan, Inspector of Police, Special Branch, and G. Nagaraj, Sub-Inspector of Police, Special Branch, were among those transferred out of the district.
