Russian oligarch’s superyacht allowed through strait of Hormuz, source says
A superyacht owned by Russian billionaire Alexei Mordashov, named Nord, successfully transited the heavily restricted Strait of Hormuz after maintenance in Dubai, with neither Iran nor the U.S. objecting to its passage. The vessel, sailing under a Russian flag, crossed via an approved route in compliance with international maritime law. Its movement is notable given the significant reduction in traffic through the strategic waterway since the onset of heightened U.S.-Iran tensions. The yacht has since been located near the coast of Oman.
