Lestat!” Smoke fills the stage of New York’s Beacon Theatre and the musicians enter, led by composer Daniel Hart, and begin playing the opening chords of the breakout hit for the self-named band The Vampire Lestat, “Long Face.” That’s when the chaotic vampire (or is he?) himself enters, strutting like a pussycat while pulling faces at the crowd, who, if possible, start cheering even louder than before.
