Quixote Studios is closing its Atlanta operations and laying off about 70 employees due to a downturn in film and TV production. The company will also vacate most of its leased Los Angeles soundstages as part of a restructuring effort to cut costs by $21–27 million annually. Parent company Hudson Pacific Properties is shifting equipment to Los Angeles and New York to focus on more profitable segments. Quixote’s rental services remain operational during the transition.
