A pillion rider on a motorcycle struck a 35-year-old police constable on the head before fleeing the scene in Kodical in the early hours of Sunday.Urwa police said constable Hanumanth Kanti was on duty along with home guard Basavaraj to check suspicious vehicle movement in the area.
