Ottawa kicks in up to $9.8-million for proposed Canada Soccer national training centre
The federal government is contributing up to $9.8 million toward the design and planning of a national training centre for Canada Soccer, funded through the Build Communities Strong Fund. The total project is expected to cost between $200 million and $300 million, with additional funding anticipated from Canada's World Cup co-hosting legacy revenues.
