Yogesh Meena, a law student from Delhi University, was allegedly detained by the Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh police on Saturday in connection with the Noida workers’ protest in April.A member of the Disha Students’ Organization and a former presidential candidate in Delhi University Students’ Union election in 2025, Mr. Meena was allegedly detained near Ramjas College at 1 p.m. on Saturday.According to a complaint filed by Sameer Kumar, a student of Ramjas College, with the Gautam Buddha Nagar police, four officers in plain clothes who claimed to be from the U.P. STF told Mr. Meena and Mr. Kumar that a police complaint had been registered against them and they would be taken to the Mukherjee Nagar police station in Delhi.
