The State Department on Tuesday revealed a new passport design that includes an image of President Donald Trump, marking the latest move the Administration has made to feature Trump on items intended to commemorate the country’s 250th anniversary—as well as attaching his name and face to a broader array of federal buildings and programs. Mockups of the passport design shared with TIME show a blue and white image of the President’s face in the middle of the text of the Declaration of Independence, with Trump’s signature, in gold, below. Another page of the passport includes an image from John Trumbull’s famous 1819 “Declaration of Independence” painting, which depicts the founding fathers gathered for the signing of the document.

Excerpt limited to ~120 words for fair-use compliance. The full article is at TIME — Top.
