Netflix has acquired the Irish period thriller 'Bad Bridgets,' which stars Emilia Jones and Alison Oliver. The film, directed by Rich Peppiatt, is based on the book 'Bad Bridget: Crime, Mayhem, and the Lives of Irish Emigrant Women.' It will be shot in Northern Ireland and Ireland later in 2026 and focuses on two sisters escaping poverty and abuse in 19th century Ireland.
