The Soonambedu police under Chengalpattu district arrested a 68-year-old man and a minor boy for the murder of a 32-year-old man on Friday. A senior police official of Chengalpattu district said Vijay, a resident of Thamaraikeni village in Soonambedu of Maduranthakam taluk, was working as a construction worker. On Thursday morning as he did not return home his father Mani gave a missing complaint. Based on the complaint, the Soonambedu police registered a case and later found Vijay’s body with several knife wounds in an isolated bush. The police team, during interrogation, found that Vijay’s relative Devaraj, 68, living in the same locality had murdered him with the help of his grandson on Wednesday night.
