KIA pips Mumbai to become second busiest domestic airport in the country
Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) has surpassed Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) to become the second busiest domestic airport in India. In April, KIA handled over 3.1 million passengers, while CSMIA managed nearly 2.9 million. The airport is also set to begin work on the second phase of its Terminal-2, expected to be completed by early 2030.
