In a bid to help artists from Karnataka get easy access to participate and showcase their talents in events in various countries, the Karnataka government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), which is the country’s premier institution for cultural diplomacy under the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).According to a release by Karnataka’s Kannada and Culture Department, the MoU would also help State artists get funding towards their airfare/boarding charges.The MoU was signed in Delhi by Manisha Swami, Joint Secretary, MEA and Deputy Director General, ICCR and J.
