Karnataka High Court notice to CBI on Vinay Kulkarni’s appeal against conviction in murder case

The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday ordered issue of notice to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on a petition filed by Congress MLA and former Minister Vinay Kulkarni challenging a special court’s order of convicting and sentencing him to imprisonment for life for criminal conspiracy and murder of a young BJP leader, Yogeshgouda Goudar, in Dharwad in 2016.A Division Bench comprising Justice Mohammad Nawaz and Justice Venkatesh Naik T. adjourned further hearing on the petition while giving time for the CBI to file its statement of objection.
