Karimnagar jewellery heist mastermind remanded in judicial custody

Bihar-based gangster Subodh Singh, the alleged mastermind behind the sensational armed robbery at PMJ Jewellers in Karimnagar on May 3, was taken into custody by the Karimnagar police on a Prisoner Transit (PT) warrant in Bihar on Thursday.He was brought to Karimnagar from Purnia jail in Bihar, where he was lodged in connection with six criminal cases, amid tight security arrangements on Thursday night.According to the police, Subodh Singh was produced before the Magistrate in Karimnagar around Thursday midnight and remanded in judicial custody.Three members of Subodh Singh gang, including the prime accused in the May 3 gold jewellery heist case, Raghunath Karmakar of West Bengal, were already arrested by the Karimnagar Police on May 14.
