Jipmer surgeons remove 15 kg tumour
Surgeons at Jipmer have successfully removed a 15 kg tumour from a 73-year-old man in Tamil Nadu. The patient had been experiencing abdominal distention and shortness of breath due to the large mass. A team of surgeons at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (Jipmer) successfully removed a giant Retroperitoneal Liposarcoma weighing 15 kg from a 73-year-old man from Kallakurichi district in Tamil Nadu.According to a press release, the patient approached Jipmer with complaints of abdominal distention for one year and shortness of breath for six months.
