‘Heroic’ coastguards rescue dog from ‘crashing’ waves after it slipped and fell into the sea
Coastguard and RNLI crew members rescued a Weimaraner dog named Sparkle after she fell into the sea from a harbour wall at Seacliff beach in Scotland. Sparkle's owner, David Hall, entered the water to hold onto her until help arrived, despite warnings not to pursue animals in such conditions. The rescue teams were later honored with a Hero to Animals award from PETA for their actions.
