Heavy traffic for the second consecutive day in the upper hills affected the smooth flow of vehicles in many parts of Kodaikanal on Sunday.With summer vacation at its peak, the vehicles from far and wide had lined up from as early as 7 a.m.. From the entry point, i.e., Silver Cascade, there was heavy traffic and vehicles moved at snail’s pace. To cross a particular intersection, it took almost 15 minutes on one side.The situation was worse in tourist spots. Apart from the vehicles parked on both sides of the road, there was heavy crowd inside the locations. As the carriage space had shrunk, heavy vehicles such as buses found it difficult to move.With very less police personnel regulating traffic at one or two points, there was chaos throughout the day.
