Google, Canonical team up to certify Ubuntu images for TPU VMs
Google and Canonical have partnered to certify Ubuntu images for Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) virtual machines. This change allows customers to use Canonical-supported versions of Ubuntu 22.04 LTS for TPU v5 and v6 instances, enhancing compatibility and support. Additionally, TPU7x instances will run on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, providing flexibility for AI workloads.
