Golders Green stabbing latest: Rabbi warns ‘visibly Jewish’ people aren’t safe as attack victims are named
The UK's chief Rabbi, Sir Ephraim Mirvis, stated that visibly Jewish people are not safe on British streets following a double stabbing in Golders Green, which police have treated as a terrorist incident. The 45-year-old suspect, a British national born in Somalia with a history of serious violence and mental health issues, was arrested at the scene after attacking two men, identified as Nachman Moshe ben Chaya Sarah and Moshe Ben Baila. In response, the government announced £25 million in funding for Jewish community security and plans to legislate against proxies acting for hostile states, after an Iran-linked group claimed responsibility for the attack.
