GitHub Copilot: Upcoming Deprecation of GPT-5.2 and GPT-5.2-Codex
GitHub will deprecate the GPT-5.2 and GPT-5.2-Codex models on June 1, 2026, across most Copilot experiences. Users are advised to transition to the suggested alternatives, GPT-5.5 and GPT-5.3-Codex, respectively. Administrators may need to update model policies to enable access to the newer models.
