Tamil Nadu Vivasayigal Sangam staged a protest slamming the Union Government for the hike in fertilizer prices, in Krishnagiri on Tuesday (May 26, 2026).The protesters said that the BJP-led NDA government had promised a minimum support price for all agriculture produce on line with the M.S. Swaminathan Committee recommendations that called for production costs plus 50% to be given as support price, 12 years ago in the run up to its election.
