Dinjith Ayyathan won the award for best director and Bahul Ramesh for the best screenwriter for the film Eko in the 35th P. Padmarajan Awards which were announced here on Friday (May 22, 2026). The awards were instituted by the P. Padmarajan Trust in memory of the writer-filmmaker. Dinjith will receive ₹25,000, a plaque and a certificate of merit, whereas Bahul will get ₹15,000, plaque and certificate.Chandramathi, author of the novel Ozhukatha Oru Puzha, was chosen for the award for the best novelist.
