A 32-year-old habitual offender involved in a series of house burglaries in Ameenpur was arrested by the Cyberabad Police on Saturday, May 16.The accused, identified as Mandla Shiva alias Yerra Shiva, a resident of Jillelaguda in Meerpet and a native of Nagarkurnool district, was arrested by the Crime Team of Serilingampally zone along with the Ameenpur police. The police recovered 45 tolas of gold ornaments, diamond-studded jewellery, 5,000 in cash, a scooter and an iron rod used in the offences.The accused was involved in a burglary on the night of February 21 at a house in Gandigudem Colony under the limits of Ameenpur police station by breaking open the lock using an iron rod and stealing gold and silver ornaments.
