Abhishikth Kishore on Friday directed officials of the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) to prepare a comprehensive implementation plan for 49 projects proposed under the Visakha Economic Region (VER).The direction was issued during a preparatory meeting held at the Collectorate ahead of a review of the economic region by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on June 2. Officials from VMRDA, the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC), the Tourism Department, Revenue Department and IT consultants attended the meeting.The Collector said that VMRDA, as the nodal agency for the VER initiative, should work in close coordination with the GVMC, Tourism and other departments in finalising the development roadmap.
