The Khammam two-town police registered a case against a Circle Inspector (CI), presently attached to the IGP office, for allegedly sexually exploiting a woman on the false promise of marriage and forcing her to undergo abortion.According to the police, the accused identified as Raju Naik, allegedly befriended the married woman when she came to file a complaint against her husband at the women’s police station earlier this year. He allegedly lured her on the pretext of marriage and sexually exploited her repeatedly.Acting on a complaint lodged by the aggrieved woman, the police booked him under the relevant Sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Further investigation is underway.
