CET re-test for students asked to remove janivara, hijab

The Karnataka government is planning to allow students who were asked to remove their janivara (sacred thread) and hijab during the recently held Common Entrance Test (CET) to appear for the exam again.Addressing the media on Thursday (April 30), Higher Education Minister M.C. Sudhakar said, “In the interest of students, we are planning to give an option to those students who were asked to remove their janivara and hijab during the recently held Common Entrance Test (CET) to rewrite the exam.”
