Cancer jab can eradicate entire tumours in patients, trial shows
A new cancer treatment trial has shown promising results, with a jab called amivantamab able to eradicate tumors in some patients. The trial involved 102 patients with head and neck cancer, and over a third experienced significant tumor shrinkage. This treatment could potentially benefit many patients who have limited options due to resistance to traditional therapies.
- ▪The amivantamab jab shrank tumors in more than a third of patients in the trial.
- ▪Fifteen patients had their tumors completely eradicated after treatment.
- ▪The jab is administered under the skin, making it more convenient than traditional intravenous treatments.
