The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has issued a public notification warning citizens against unauthorised entry into underground metro sections as 33kV cables and the 750V DC third rail in the Reach-6 underground corridor will be energised from May 18.According to the BMRCL, the electrification process will be carried out progressively between Langford Town and Pottery Town. The underground stretch includes traction substations and auxiliary substations at Langford Town, Rashtriya Military School, M.G. Road, Shivajinagar, Cantonment Railway Station and Pottery Town.In its notification, the BMRCL cautioned that direct contact with the live 750V DC third rail or 33kV cables could prove fatal.
