At what point does Apple buy Micron or similar to hedge their own memory supply?

Serious question. Even Tim Cook is worrying out loud that there would be “significantly higher” memory costs in the third quarter, the prices are going to start surging. Does Apple continue being at the mercy of suppliers, or do they, like their comms chips, start building their own memory?
