An armed gang robbed four women of their gold ornaments and cellphones at knife point after attacking one of them in Sivakasi on Tuesday.The police said that the accused, aged 20 to 25 years, had barged into the house of one Maruthayee, 38, in Vijayalakshmi Colony on Tuesday evening.After locking the door from inside, the accused had brandished a knife and threatened the women to part with their valuables.They snatched two pairs of gold studs and some silver anklets and two mobile phones. The accused also attacked on woman, Eswari with a knife on her head and fled the scene.Based on a complaint, Sivakasi East police have arrested six persons for robbery and assault.
